Amber Fort Royal Indian Sikh Wedding
House of Maharaja Maan Singh, this world heritage site is a traditional Indian fort with its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths. The fort overlooks Maota Lake, which is the main source of water for the Amber Palace (some also call it Amer Palace). Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive opulent palace is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard. It consists of the Diwan-i-Aam which literally translates as the Palace of the People.
Every day there are elephants going from the bottom of the castle to the main gates as it was done 500 years ago. Elephant were traditionally used as a mode of transportation, we wanted to showcase that tradition of elephants in our images. Here are some images from Amber Fort in Jaipur.
